The Pommesfreunde

Right now, I am attending School in Northern Germany. But since I actually live in the Schwarzwald, I have to go back to my old Home in the Harz every Weekend.

Along the Way, when I have my typical one hour layover in Hannover, I travel by Train, I usually grab something to eat.

This Time around, I tried a Fast Food Joint I had never been to before: The Pommes Freunde, or literally French Fry Friends. There, I grabbed a Hüttenburger Menu just because I felt like it.

That Burger came with Beef Bacon, Pickles, Beef and some Cheese, but it was nothing fancy. It was to be a simple Burger Day.

For the Fries however, I was spoiled with options when it came to Sauces. From classic Mayo over boring Ketchup and some Specials, they had everything. And everything came for free with my Order.

In the End, I had selected three different Sauces: Normal Mayo, Belgian Cocktail Sauce with a bit of Whiskey and some Dutch Joppie Sauce.

Since I still had to wait for my Train a little, but the Restaurant actually Dining Area was tiny, I had decided to have my Food right at the Platform. I would also be able to watch the Trains from there, which was a lot of Fun.

But back to the important Stuff: Since I had gotten my Food at the Pommesfreunde, I actually started my little Feast with those French Fries.

They were actually great and also just the right amount of Crispy for me. As for the Sauces: I should have gotten a bit more Joppie Sauce. It was the best of the Bunch.

The Mayo was just too boring, and the Cocktail Sauce, while great, did not really play that nicely with the French Fries.

Of Course, I still had that Burger to devour. And that Thing was actually just okay. It did taste great, but the Sauce the Friends put on it tasted just a bit too sweet for me.

That Beef Bacon however was absolutely fabulous. I tried some before, but that was a long Time ago. After all that Time, I had actually forgotten how nice that Stuff actually tastes.

The worst Part of that Burger was easily the Bun though: It was much to sloppy and soft. A bit of toasting would have gone a long Way.

Over all, I really did have a nice Meal though. The Burger was good enough, and I really did love my French Fries.

Should I ever go to the Pommesfreunde again, I will only get those though. With loads of Joppie Sauce.
