Yesterday was a busy Day. But in the Evening I then got to Cook some Food with my Brother.
We just had to decide what we actually wanted to eat.
Truth be told, that was not an easy Choice to make. In the End, we landed on some Geschnetzeltes with Mushrooms.

Since it was one of my Tasks to go shopping for Ingredients, I also had to decide what Kind of Meat to get for our Geschnetzeltes.
That is chopped up Meat that is usually seasoned and then cooked with Cream and other Ingredients if you feel like it by the Way. I really like Geschnetzeltes.
At the Supermarket, my Choice was very much limited though. It was already kinda late, and all there was left was some sorry looking Beef and some Pute (Turkey Hen).
I ended up getting the Poultry. It looked much better, and it also cost less for more.

My other Task was it to dice some nice red Onions, and so I got started on that while my Brother went to work on the Mushrooms and the Seasoning.
I have to say: I am getting pretty darn good at evenly dicing up Onions. Those little pieces of hell were nice and small in the End.
And they made me cry a bit. I guess I cut them up a little too much.
In the End, they were perfect though. Their Flavour played along nicely with my Brothers Seasoning and our Brown Mushrooms.
The only Thing that could have been better was the Cream: Because we did not have anything else, we had to use Whipping Cream instead of something like Crème Fraîche.

Luckily, that unavailability of actual Cooking Cream actually did not impact the Flavour negatively at all.
Our Geschnetzeltes had turned out very nicely, and I even had some Great Redsby Wine with it. The Food was very delicious.
But it was also way less than it had looked like before it was done Cooking. Those Mushrooms did shrink a whole lot.
I guess it was a good Idea after all to also make some tasty Rösti as a Side.
