Recreating the Green Robin

A while ago, I was very much into Steaks. Back then, I even created my very own Steak Recipe.

I called the Green Robin, and it was extraordinarily delicious.

Just today then, I decided to recreate my old Dish. This Time I used a Pan instead of my Contact Grill though.

To make a Green Robin, all you need is some Steak, preferably a nice Rib Eye, Kräuterbutter and some Green Pesto.

There is also some Salt & Pepper involved, but that is about it.

Personally, I prefer my Steak Medium. But since that is largely based on one’s Taste, I would say that anything goes.

Cooking that Steak did not go all to good today though.

It was all going well until a little puff of Smoke activated my Smoke Alarm. By the Time that was off again, my Steak was a little burned.

That actually helped the Flavour a little though.

But that Alarm was very annoying.

After then letting the Meat rest for a couple of Minutes, all that was left to do was to introduce the Kräuterbutter and the Pesto.

First, I spread a bit of Kräuterbutter on the Steak. I really do like that Stuff.

It is also very simple: Kräuterbutter is made from Butter and a handful of Herbs.

The Stuff goes very nicely with Steak.

I then covered all that meaty, buttery goodness with a good dose of green Pesto.

Green Pesto is actually one of my absolute favourite Condiments. It is absolutely delicious!

And in my humble Opinion, it also goes very nicely with Steak, just like that Kräuterbutter.

In the End, despite facing some major hurdles along the Way, todays Dinner turned out very beautifully.

The Steak was pretty much cooked just the Way I like it. Even those pesky burns did their Part. It was awesome.

I really liked it.
