For quite a while now, I had wanted to cook some classic, easy Mac’n’Cheese. It never happened though.
Until today. Kind of.
Today, I cooked something similar. Mostly because I had neither Macaroni nor Cheddar in the Pantry, but also because I wanted to mix it up a little.

Mostly because I had a packet laying around, I had decided to use some Fusilli as my Pasta.
I also figured that it would hold on to the cheesy Sauce a whole lot better than any Macaroni would ever do.
Since I had found a very easy Recipe online, everything else I needed was some Milk, shredded Cheese and maybe some Spices.
It really would be that easy.

At first, I had to bring my Milk to a boil. I had never done that myself and thought it would be like a walk in the park.
It really was anything but. The Milk heated up really nicely, but as Milk apparently goes, it quickly boiled over.
That was really annoying. I was afraid my Smoke Alarm would go off again, but it did not.
My Stove Top was really messy though. It also was not very easy to clean all that spilled Milk up. I hated it.

After having cooked my Fusilli in the remaining Milk for about 10 Minutes, all that was left to do was to add that Cheese.
In between, I had also added a little bit of Kräuterbutter to add some Flavour.
Before that, I turned off the Heat though to prevent it all from burning.
I had decided on some Käsepätzle Cheese, but in the End I probably should have gone with Cheddar. The Cheese was to mild.

To spice it up a little, I also decided to add some shredded dried Oregano. It really did make my Food much better.
I really like to do that when I am cooking Pizza or Pasta.
