One simple Cider

I really love a good Cider. Those are fruity, refreshing and simply delicious, but also not too sweet.

It is also still my ‘Mission’ to try out all the Ciders that I happen to come across. That is actually a very fun Mission.

Just before heading Home from School, and also visiting Bremen along the Way, I had actually come across a handful of Ciders at the Supermarket.

Coincidentally, one of those Ciders is actually made not that far from my old Home near the Harz.

That Cider is also the first one from my little Haul that I actually tried.

But more about the Manufacturer first: Katlenburg, where Katlenburger is made, really is very close to where I grew up.

It is only about 15 Minutes by Car after all. I even know where the Kellerei is located. I have driven past there a lot of Times.

They actually make a whole array of nice Drinks, like a delicious Waldmeister Bowle. And they claim to have made Cider ever since 1925.

The Version I bought, and the only one available at the Supermarket, was made with Pink Lady Apples. I do like those, even though they are usually kinda sweet.

To my absolute surprise, the Cider made from those Apples was not as overly sweet as I had anticipated.

In fact, it was very crisp and apple-y. I really liked that. A lot.

As I had actually bought the last Bottle at the Supermarket, I was out quickly. 0.33 Litres are not a lot of Drink after all.

In the End, I was very happy that I had bought a Cider made not far from Home. I had never known that the Manufacturer actually made any!

I will be on the lookout for more, as this could easily become my favourite plain Cider.

As for flavoured Ciders, that Spit is currently held by Somersby Rhubarb. I will have to write about that some Day.

As for the other Ciders I bought: I have not yet tried them, but rest assured there will be post about every single one.

*I have no Affiliation with Katlenburger. I just think it is cool that such a nice Drink comes so close from Home.
