Cooking Curry with the Family

This Weekend was great. My Family had visited me here in the Schwarzwald, we went hiking, and we also had some great Food.

Just yesterday, we then decided to actually cook something together instead of eating out again.

After some deliberation about what to Cook, we ended up with a beautiful Plan.

We wanted to make a simple Chicken Curry with Coconut Milk and some Vegetables.

And so, after buying some Ingredients and finally finding a bit of red Curry Paste at the Supermarket, we were ready to set that Plan into action.

Since my Kitchen is small, and since I do not own many Pots and Pans, we started by Cooking some Onions and Mushrooms and then setting them aside.

Then, we seared the Chicken, put everything into my only big Pot and started making the Curry by adding the Coconut Milk and some Curry Paste.

We had chosen to use some Snow Pea Pods and some Broccoli as our Greens by the Way.

All those beautiful Ingredients then hat to meat each other and become friendly, so we let the Mix simmer for a while before adding some extra Seasoning.

There also was a lot of Water from the Vegetables, so that had to cook off first. After a while it started to smell amazing though, and that is when we knew that our Food was ready.

All we still had to do was to get some Rice ready and enjoy the Curry.

In the End, I definitely have to say that the first Curry I had ever been involved in actually turned out very nicely.

The Food was super delicious, but truth be told, it could have been a bit more spicy and also much more colourful. We will use more Curry Paste the next Time around.

All those Greens had kinda blended into a very much uniform Colour.

The best Thing was cooking together as a Family though. The Food was only just a bystander after all.
