Sugar dusted Strawberries

I love Strawberries. A lot.

Last Weekend, I had actually found some regional Strawberries from Baden-Württemberg at the Supermarket for a reasonable price.

Obviously I bought some.

Back Home, I stuck my beautiful red Strawberries into the Fridge and actually forgot about them until yesterday.

Actually, I just did not really know what I wanted to do with them. Sometimes, it is a bit hard to decide.

After then seeing some sugary Strawberries on a special Discord Server in between, I kinda wanted to make some of those myself.

I also wanted to just Snack a few of those little Delights though. Turns out, my super regional Strawerries were super sour as well.

Just because of that, I then cut all of them into halves, put them into a Bowl and covered it all with perhaps a bit too much Sugar.

It just had to happen.

Sugaring Strawberries actually has a very nice side-effect to just making the Berries sweeter: It actually draws those delicious Juices out of the Berries.

That happens through Osmosis, because Plants strive to have a similar Sugarlevel to the outside.

The high level of Sugar actually draws water from the Strawberries in order to reach Equilibrium.

But enough about that Sciency Stuff. This is a Food Blog after all, and all that is important is that juicy sugared Strawberries are delicious.

After just a few Hours it then was all ready to be enjoyed. The Strawberries had released a whole lot of their fine juices, and they definitely looked delicious as hell.

I actually had some just like that right away to find out of the needed to stew a little longer. They did not.

So I did what I always do when I have some Sugar dusted Strawberries: I drowned them in a bit of fresh Milk and enjoyed them.

I loved it!
