Last Week, when I visited Freiburg, I came by a little Hipster Shop in the middle of Town.
That Place spelled Freiburg Shirts and Gin, so I had to check it out. And I do not even like Gin that much.
Turns out, most of the Gins sold there were also out of my Price Range. They also sold something different though.

That different Thing was Lemonade made with Ingredients foraged from the Schwarzwald. It was made with Tannenspitzen.
Just about a Year ago, I myself had made some really good Maywipfelsirup. I also mixed some of that Stuff with Vodka, and it made a great Beverage.
Ever since then, I really love the woodsy Aroma you get from those little Spruce Buds. It really is amazing.

That Lemonade is called Tannenliebe, and it tastes really good. It also was not cheap by any means, but it was definitely worth every penny.
I had gotten a nice little four pack of the stuff, which sadly did not come chilled, but it was a little cheaper.
The Lemonade was definitely great warm though. There was just so much Flavour in it.
Obviously, such Things are much better cold though. And after some Time in the Refrigerator, this woodsy Lemonade proved just that once again.
It tasted so much better cold. I absolutely loved it.

Since I did not have a good Bottle Opener with me, and sadly do not know a better Way to open a Bottle, I also had to buy myself something for that.
I ended up getting a small simple Swiss Army Knife at a small Shop just for that. I also had lost my last Swiss Army Knife somewhere in Canada many Years ago.
Know I just have to figure out where to get more of that awesome Lemonade.

Sounds really refreshing.

Streetwear and gin… now that is an interesting combination! 😉 Perhaps you can make some more homemade spruce syrup so you can make dyi lemonade? Though I do remember from your post that that the Maywipfelsirup looked like a LOT of work…

Sadly, the Time to collect Maywipfel is already over, as they are only really useable/ soft enough in May/ early June at the latest. During that Time, I was in School. And yes, it is a lot of Work to make Maywipfelsirup. The Syrup part is actually kinda easy, as it mostly takes Time. But you need a boatload of Spruce Buds. And I never collect more than a handful from any given Tree. Living in a Nature Reserve now also does not make things easier one bit. I would need to travel out of that Area to be legally allowed to collect.
