For a long Time, I have loved Altenauer Limmo. Ever since I had my first drink of that Herbal Lemonade, I had been hooked.
For a while, back in 2021, it had then looked like nobody would ever have the pleasure of that fizzy Drink again. Luckily, that crisis was averted by some good old civil action.
Ever since moving from the Harz to the Schwarzwald, I have not really been able to get any of the good stuff for a while.
Right now, since I am once again back at School in Norddeutschland, and I usually stop by the old Home during that Time, I decided to get some today.
So, while looking for a few Bottles of my favourite Harz-local Limmo, I found something new.
Right next to the herbal tea looking Limmo, there was something deep red lurking in the dark.
I first thought it was some special Christmas Beer, but the label clearly stated ‘Beeren’, or ‘Berries’, and Limmo.
That was when I knew that I had to pick up a Bottle of that Stuff as well.
First off: The alternative Limmo definitely has the same pop as the Original. It is really kinda loud when you do the Plop!
Right after that Plop, a berry good, albeit kinda sweet smell streamed into my Nose from the open Bottle.
After then pouring some into a Glass, that Smell got even stronger, and much better.
Luckily, the Flavour did not disappoint either. The Limmo definitely tasted like a Mélange of Berries.
It was actually awesome.
