Yesterday, I actually visited the Weihnachtsmarkt in Freiberg again. I knew exactly what I wanted to get. I had mentioned Handbrot before, and actually got some this Time.

The best Spezi
Here in Germany, we have some awesome mixed Beverages, most of them having their own Name. Schorle for example would be any Juice or even Wine mixed with sparkling Water. A Radler would be made from Beer and Lemonade, and a Spezi… well that one is made from Cola and Orange Soda.
A cinnamony Delight
I really enjoy Things with Cinnamon in them. It not only tastes great, but the smell is awesome as well. One of those awesome Things is the humble, yet delicious Franzbrötchen. I just love those.
Germany meets Switzerland
A few Weeks ago, there was a small Market in Town where I work in the Schwarzwald. Obviously, we all went there for Lunch. Only a few Stalls had been set up, but there was a Bratwurst Cart. It was a bit different though.
The humble Mettbrötchen
We Germans like to eat quite a few weird Things. Like Schwarzwurst or even Pigs Feet, also known as Haxen. While I do not really care for the latter, I do like a lot of our traditional Foods. Some of them are even kinda awesome!
Making tasty Flammkuchen
Sometimes, I really love a good Flammkuchen. Back in the Day, I would usually go for the Frozen Version. But that is not good enough anymore. That is especially true since I found out that Flammkuchen is actually very simple to make by yourself.
Schupfnudeln with Sauerkraut
Every Country has their unique Foods, and we here in Germany have a whole lot of them. One of those weird German Dishes I really love is a beautiful Schupfnudel Casserole with Sauerkraut.
The other Black Forest Food
All over Germany, and in Fact all over the World, there are many Dishes and Foods that are defined by the Region they come from. There are also a lot of well known and very delicious Hams around.
Bloody delicious
Some traditional Foods are definitely weird. Here in Germany, we actually have a whole Bunch of those. Pigs Feet for example are a staple of Bavarian Cuisine. But this is not about Haxen. It is about something much weirder.
