I do not like Tomatoes. In Fact, I find unprocessed Tomatoes absolutely vile.
On the other Hand, Pizza without Tomato Marinara just is not the same, and even Ketchup can be okay at Times.
Yesterday then, I totally jumped my Shadow though. My Mom had made some Tomato Soup with Rice, and I just had to try it out.

It is not that I had not eaten that Soup before, and I even knew that I liked it. But as usual, I still needed to convince myself that it was good.
After all, it is mostly made from Tomatoes. My Mom usually uses sieved Tomatoes and some Tomato Paste.
She also uses quite a handful of Herbs and Spices. But most importantly, she also puts a bit of Parmesan Cheese.
There is not that much Cheese in it, but it really does make a difference.

The Thing about me and Tomatoes is that I actually kinda like the Flavour and Depth they bring to Foods.
What I absolutely hate about them is the Texture, especially of the Skin. I also strongly dislike their raw Flavour.
Tomato Skin actually is actually super repulsive. I absolutely hate it.
Because my Mom puts her Soup through the Blender and because she uses sieved Tomatoes, that is not much a Problem with this Fish though.

Tomato Soup alone would not have been very filling though. That little bit of Cheese in it makes absolutely no difference in that Way.
Since that Soup was our hot Meal of the Day though, it definitely had to be filling. Otherwise, it would have just been an Appetizer.
That is why there was a load of Rice added into the Mix. I really do love Rice.
It also played along really nicely with the Soup, soaking up all those Flavours and becoming extremely tasty in the Process.
I absolutely loved it.

I’ve never had rice in tomato soup but now I will have to try it.

I really liked it with the Rice, but I also know that it definitely is unusual to put Rice into Tomato Soup. 😬
