Crispy sweet Churros

I don’t usually visit the Weihnachtsmarkt. There are always too many People around, and all you can get is Food and overpriced Tinnef.

Yesterday though, I had to do something in Town anyways, and so I decided to go and grab some Food right there at The Weihnachtsmarkt.

It actually wasn’t too crowded at the Time, probably because of the bad Weather…

As always, there were many Food Options around. I could have gotten pretty much anything I would have wanted.

In the End, it was between two Choices for me: a hearty Handbrot, which I might still get later on this Week, and Spanish Churros.

If you read the Title, you already know what I ended up buying.

I got a Medium Serving with just some Cinnamon Sugar. Everything else would have cost extra.

To be completely Honest, that Medium Serving was a little bit too much though.

Churros can be very filling indeed.

But they are also super tasty.

Having previously known Churros as a Mexican Dish, but it appears to be actually of Mediterranean origin, maybe even ancient Roman Descent according to Wikipedia.

I find that bit of History particularly interesting.

churro (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈtʃuro], Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈʃuʁu]) is a type of fried dough from Spanish and Portuguese cuisine, made with choux pastry dough piped into hot oil with a piping bag and large closed star tip or similar shape. They are also found in Latin American cuisine, Philippine cuisine and in other areas that have received immigration from Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries, especially in France and the Southwestern United States. (Wikipedia)

In the End, no matter where Churros are actually from, they are very delicious indeed.
