A homemade Burger

Sometimes, I really like a good Burger. I just really love it when all the Ingredients come together in a beautiful, hand-eatable Creation.

The best Burgers are usually the ones that you make yourself.

Today was such a Burger Craving Day, and so I decided to try something new: A Burger with Cucumber Salad on it.

My homemade Cucumber Salad is actually very simple, yet also super delicious.

It is also super easy to make: All you need is a Cucumber, some neutral Oil, some Maple Syrup and a Packet of Dill Salad Dressing.

I absolutely love this Salad, but I never had even thought about actually integrating it into another Meal.

Yesterday, I had the Idea to integrate it into a simple homemade Burger.

The foundation to every solid Burger is a good Bun, because there is already enough Sweetness in my Salad, I went for a more hearty Sourdough.

To cut through that Sweetness, I also wanted to add in some Heat. So I also added some Sriracha infused Mayonnaise to the Mix.

A Burger wouldn’t be a Burger without some Beef (or Vegetarian Alternative) in the Middle of it.

I chose some frozen Patties made from German Beef today, because the Supermarket didn’t have any fresh ones that would hold up in my Contact Grill.

Of Course I cooked my Meat to Medium.

In the End of the Day, all Ingredients are worthless if they don’t play together nicely though.

You can use the fanciest of Things, if the Food doesn’t taste good, you won’t be satisfied.

Luckily, my Salad harmonized very well with the Sauce, the Beef and the toasted Sourdough Bread.

To me, this simple Burger tasted simply awesome. It turned out to be a very good Meal.

Next Time I want to try it with Cheese though. I had forgotten to buy some.

  1. I like the looks of that burger! I’ve been having veggie burgers topped with kimchee lately (basically Korean sauerkraut) and it’s delicious, especially with the red pepper kimchee.

      1. There’s only one brand available at our local supermarket (a minor miracle in riral NH!). There are recipes on line, as well, if you care to experiment…
